La Locanda dei Tintori Siena is an authentic corner of culinary genuineness located in the heart of the city. The restaurant’s name pays homage to the area in which it is located, once bustling with the famous fabric and leather dyers who, through their craft, contributed to the economic development of the city.
Among the illustrious Sienese dyers and members of this ancient guild, the name of Jacopo Benincasa stands out, father of Saint Catherine of Siena, Patron Saint of the city and of Italy. The Sanctuary of Saint Catherine is just a short walk from the Locanda.
